Humana will be implementing edits which are likely to impact oncology reimbursement significantly.
Pay close attention to the 2 pages of edits which will be applied to drugs and biologics (pages 2
and 3 of the Humana document). As you will see, many of the drugs will have limits on both
diagnosis as well as dosing. While this Humana change is happening Nationally, we at WVOS
would like to address any potential issues related to the edits our members may have. PLEASE
review the attached document and alert WVOS of ANY potential problems you may have with these
edits. For example, limits on dosing too low or a diagnosis not included for a particular drug.
Keep in mind, these changes go into effect on April 24, 2010. PLEASE send your
comments/concerns as soon as possible to Michelle via email at: reimbursement@wvos.info
